Directions for Use
Tembotrione 34.4% w/w SC
Tembotrione 34.4% w/w SC is a post-emergence herbicide recommended for use along with surfactant for control of broadleaf and grassy weeds in maize. The formulation is recommended for use with a surfactant at 1000 ml/ha.
Time of Application
Tembotrione 34.4% w/w SC can be applied with a knapsack sprayer fitted with a flat fan nozzle at a 3–4 leaf stage of weeds.
Safety Precautions
- Avoid contact with the product.
- Wear personal protective equipment while working with the product.
- Keep away from sources of ignition.
- Keep away from food, drink, and animal feed.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Remove soiled clothing immediately and clean thoroughly before using again.
- Wash clothing immediately after work.
Symptoms of Poisoning
- Headache
- Vomiting
- Nausea
First Aid Measures
Skin/Eye Contact
Wash off contaminated skin and clothes immediately with soap and water. If in eyes, remove contact lenses (if present) and rinse with water for 15–20 minutes.
If Swallowed or Inhaled
If inhaled, move to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration, preferably mouth-to-mouth if possible. If ingested, rinse mouth and give water in small sips. Do not induce vomiting unless directed by a physician.
Symptoms of Poisoning
Headache, vomiting, nausea.
Antidote
No specific antidote is known. Treat symptomatically.
Storage & Disposal
Storage Conditions
- The packages containing herbicides should be stored in a separate room or premises away from insecticides, fungicides, and food materials.
- Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area under lock and key, depending upon the quality and nature of the material.
- The room should be well illuminated and free from sources of ignition.
- Empty packages shall be broken and buried away from habitation or water sources.
- Used packages shall not be left outside to prevent re-use.
- The packages or surplus material and washings should be disposed of safely to prevent environmental and water pollution.
