Mode of Action
Safaa acts by dual mode of action: Carbendazim having systemic activity, which inhibits fungal mitotic microtubule formation (cell division) resulting in inhibiting the formation and development of fungal germ tube & growth of mycelia. While Mancozeb acts by contact action. After spraying it remains on the plant surface and after exposer to air, converted into an isothiocyanate, which inactivates the sulphahydral groups of enzymes in fungi. It disturbs the fungal enzyme functioning.
Precautions
- Keep away from foodstuffs, empty foodstuff containers, and animal food.
- Avoid contact with mouth, eyes, and skin.
- Avoid inhalation of the spray mist. Spray in the direction of wind.
- Wash thoroughly the contaminated clothes and parts of the body after spraying.
- Do not smoke, drink, eat, and chew anything while spraying.
Caution For Workers/Users
While using fungicide workers/users must wear full protective clothing like long-sleeved shirts, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves, shoes, goggles, hat, and mask.
Phytotoxicity
The product is not phytotoxic when used as per field recommendations.
Symptoms of Poisoning
Sweating, headache, lethargy, coughing, sneezing, itching, nausea, and vomiting may occur.
