Description

Directions for Use
Time of Application
Apply 30–35 days after sowing of wheat crop, when Phalaris minor is at the 3–4 leaf stage.
Plant Protection Equipment
- Use a knapsack sprayer fitted with a flat fan nozzle.
- Maintain uniform spray volume of 375–400 L/ha.
- Ensure thorough coverage of the weed foliage.
Mode of Action
Molten acts through the leaves of grassy weeds. It disrupts lipid synthesis, leading to the death of weed tissue while remaining safe to the crop. Active growth of weeds is necessary for effective control.
Preparation of Spray Solution
- Fill the tank partially with clean water.
- Add the required quantity of Molten and stir thoroughly.
- Add the remaining water while stirring continuously.
- Use the solution immediately after preparation.
Safety Precautions
- Keep away from foodstuffs, animal feed, and edible items.
- Avoid contact with the mouth, eyes, and skin.
- Do not inhale spray mist; spray in the direction of the wind.
- Wash contaminated clothes and body parts thoroughly after use.
- Do not smoke, eat, or drink during application.
- Wear gloves, protective goggles, and full protective clothing while spraying.
- Avoid drift to nearby non-target crops and water sources.
Symptoms of Poisoning
Excessive salivation, decreased activity, blurred vision, and skin irritation may occur.
First Aid Measures
If swallowed
Induce vomiting by tickling the back of the throat; do not induce vomiting if the person is unconscious. Seek medical attention immediately.
If on skin
Remove contaminated clothing and wash thoroughly with soap and water.
If in eyes
Flush eyes with clean water for 10–15 minutes.
If inhaled
Move patient to fresh air and keep under observation.
Storage & Disposal
- Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from food, feed, and sunlight.
- Do not reuse empty containers. Rinse them thrice and dispose of them safely as per local regulations.
- Avoid contamination of soil, water bodies, and drains.
- Keep out of reach of children, pets, and livestock.
