Crown
Beauveria Bassiana 1.15% WP CFU Count 1X10*8 per gm. Min. Strain BB-ICAR-RJP Strain Accession No. MCC-1022
Description
Crown is a biological insecticide based on Beauveria bassiana 1.15% W.P. with a minimum spore count of 1 × 10⁸ CFU/g. It provides broad-spectrum biological control of sucking pests, borers, caterpillars and soil-dwelling pests. The fungal spores attach to susceptible insects, germinate and penetrate their outer body, multiply internally and produce toxins that disrupt vital functions, ultimately leading to pest mortality.

Features & Benefits
- Biological formulation based on naturally occurring fungal spores.
- Helps maintain ecological balance in the crop environment.
- Suitable for use in integrated pest management programmes.
- Can be applied through foliar spray, soil application and drip irrigation.
- Effective across field crops, vegetable crops, fruit crops and ornamental plants.
- Convenient powder formulation for agricultural application.
- Supports pest management at different crop growth stages.
- Compatible with several biological and organic crop-care inputs when used appropriately.
Mode of Action
- The spores of Beauveria bassiana come into contact with susceptible insects and adhere to their outer body surface. Under suitable conditions, the spores germinate and penetrate the insect cuticle. The fungus then proliferates inside the insect, produces toxins and consumes nutrients, disrupting vital biological functions and eventually causing pest mortality.
